Japan Super Rally Series kicked off at Tsumagoi

The maiden event of international rally series, which is consisted by three round within Japan, Japan Super Rally Series (JSR) was kicked off by its opening round, Rally of Tsumagoi on 3rd February. This season, the calendar has two more rounds; Montres 2017 in Tsumagoi in June and RALLY HOKKAIDO in September.

The machines started from the start ramp, which is set in venue of winter festival in Tsumagoi-Asama Kogen. Car No.1, Toyota Vitz 4WD by Yuya Sumiyama/Takahiro Yasui made first go through the ramp to the first stage which run in night time.

Sumiyama who drive Vitz 4WD first time since APRC round of RALLY HOKKAIDO last year register the new series and commented ” It’s quite while to enter snow rally. Compare to last year of the event, it seems that luck of snow may make the rally some different circumstance. I had test this machine in snow condition as well, and had plenty of mileage since the rally in Hokkaido.”

“I’m delighted to see that we have new rally series in Japan, and hope it will bring more excitement to Japanese rallying. I hope we will see more rally which we can enter with machine such a enjoyable to drive”.
